I just had a mini argument with my best friend who is in Trini. She saying that she find and people saying that it not really feeling like carnival this year???
She saying how Bunji ain't really have no hot songs and he pull out of soca monarch all kinda ting. And that the big names besides Machel don't really have any good songs etc.
Tell me it ain't so.

Is your friend a Carnival person? I am liking Destra, was never a fan of Sherwayne but people likek open d gate and I like Bunji's songs. Plus the man having a concert this year so why should he enter Soca Monarch?

You ask the right questions there Saucy. No she is not. But apparently this is the general consensus in her workplace and she herself ain't find like there is any big songs from any others besides Machel. she can't sour me don't worry. Was walking to work listening to last year's soca and more pores were just raised because is next Thurs I leaving.
Slaughter song have a catchy chorus bandwagonist. The only thing I could really agree with my firend on is the Allison Hinds, can't see any releases from her so far. What is the scene with that one?
I am sure I heard an Allison Hinds song but not too sure what is the name or was it Rupee? LOL.

Good to hear she can't sour you girl. Trust me even if there was not ONE new song and all I heard was all the music of 2006 me (and anyone like me who just knows how to have a good time without being sour) would still enjoy the Carnival :)

Buuble with the changes made this year round the stage, my eyes, my friend, my husband don't want to play with me - none ah dem tings hold meh back yet, and I ain't letting it. Carnival 08 is for me. so come next Thurs I ready and waiting

ttfootball I tried listening to 919 this weekend only ah set of talk hardly music. picked the wrong time prob but I do put it on occasionally. But I do prefer to pick out songs from junlgejuice or toronto
it may be different for alyuh who in foreign coming down but for someone who down here and checking the scenes and the vibes, it eh reach yet sad to say. i may not play carnival but i was real big into the fetes. last fete i went, had all the big names. i aint really catch on to destra's songs yet, neither machel's but with machel, it does always grow on me. actually i like that higher dan high song...and it have one destra song i like. i feel though, they go bring out de tunes this month...or at least i hoping so.
btw, fetes getting way too social. fellas wearing man blouses and girls real dressing up as u can see in some of them fete photo galleries. i hope the fetes carnival week are way better than the ones i've been to thus far. last fete i went to, i shame to say that i walked out halfway thru machel's performance to go home. SHAME.
