I'm uploading my kiddies carnival pictures presently. They're obviously partial towards the band my son was in - Spoilt Rotten but I've put them in a seperate folder. I wasn't the photographer this carnival or this trip for that matter. My husband seems to have done an ok job getting alot of the other bands and individual costumes. I haven't seen Gerard Kelly's presentation in the pics, which is a shame as it looked spectacular in the flesh. Obviously Rosalind Gabriel sections were beautiful (I still stand by my decision to have my son play with Spoilt as I didn't like her section for his age but all the older sections were fantastic).
The Red Cross competition in Jean Pierre complex consisted of more waiting than playing. Adam Smith through St. James was pretty good and I can't say that I noticed any kids looking tired etc. Sunshine snacks was a hard day, which reflected in the numbers for Downtown the next day.

Late on the comment but small ting...Jean Pierre complex was awful eh? I almost pass out I felt so sorry for all those children in that blazing hot sun. I didnt' even do the parade on Sunday and Carnival Saturday I waited by the hospital for the band to reach and even that was too much for de small man. He bawl musse from the hospital to the 'stage'. Steups...kiddies carnival is so pretty though, I doubt i will ever enjoy it again because i will have to be trekking with this boy through the streets carrying water and clothes and lawdhavemercy!
trek up town was pressure! All the kids were burned out the time they reached the QPS. What band did your son play with?
